Sophie joined ClientSniper in early January. By the end of her first full week using the platform, she had closed three website projects totalling £8,200. We spoke to her about exactly what she did.
"I'd been freelancing for two years but never had a consistent way to find clients. ClientSniper changed that in about 45 minutes." — @sophie_builds
What Sophie Did Differently
Sophie's first move was to niche down hard. Rather than searching for "businesses with no website" broadly, she focused specifically on independent nail salons in her city — a niche she understood because she'd worked in the beauty industry before transitioning to web design.
Her search returned 67 nail salons with no website or a poor one. She filtered to the top 30 by review count and rating, then spent an evening writing personalised outreach for each one.
The Email That Worked
Sophie shared the template she used:
"Hi [Name], I found [Salon Name] while looking for nail salons in [city] — you have brilliant reviews but no website, which means you're probably missing customers who search online. I specialise in building sites for beauty businesses and could have yours live in 2 weeks. Worth a chat? Sophie"
Simple. Specific. 65 words. She sent 30 emails in one evening and received 11 replies within 48 hours — a 37% reply rate, which is exceptional even by warm-lead standards.
The Conversion
Of 11 replies, 8 booked discovery calls. Sophie ran the calls in 20-minute slots over two days. She closed 3 out of 8 — a 37.5% close rate — at prices of £2,400, £2,800, and £3,000 respectively.
Total: £8,200 in one week from her first 30 emails.
What's Next for Sophie
She's expanding to neighbouring cities and plans to build a referral network within the beauty industry. "One client already referred me to her sister who runs a lash studio. I didn't even have to send an email for that one."
